Smaltz Inc. is the first African American rare coin company in the United States.  With 23 years of experience in this niche industry and sales over $10 million dollars, K. Smaltz Inc's mission is to change the perception of rare coin collecting from being a hobby to becoming a profitable investment options for investors.  In addition to selling rare coins, K. Smaltz Inc. also designs commemorative coins for major companies and organizations celebrating milestone events.In 2004, K. Smaltz Inc. was commissioned to produce a rare coin, the Friars Centennial Celebration Coin, for The Friars Club's 100th Anniversary. 

Meet Kenneth A. Smaltz, Jr.
Kenneth A. Smaltz As CEO and president of K. Smaltz Inc., Kenneth A. Smaltz Jr. is responsible for buying and selling of rare coins to private individuals and collectors.
 
Prior to starting his own company, Smaltz had a 3 year Strategic Alliance with Eastern Numismatics and worked with New World Rarities, a $25 million dollar rare coin company based in Long Island, New York.During his time there, Smaltz built a net worth nearing $1 million dollars, selling coins to high profile clients in the business and entertainment world.  Smaltz spent three years as a senior sales executive at Asset Marketing, a Minneapolis based rare coin company, where he won several top sales awards.  He was also the former vice president of marketing at Hancock and Harwell, a rare coin company based in Atlanta, GA.  In addition to selling

coins for Hancock and Harwell, Smaltz was responsible for new business development, advertising, marketing and public relations.  Smaltz spent seven years with MTB Banking, a rare coin, precious metal and foreign currency company based in New York, NY. Smaltz began his career in the shipping department at MTB Banking and quickly became one of the company’s top salesmen.

 
Smaltz’s intriguing journey from a meager shipping employee to a money making salesman, to falling into $40,000 in debt and later rising to become one of the leading coin dealers in the U.S. is featured in More! Rags to Riches written by Gail Liberman and Alan Lavine, along with stories about famed celebrities Venus and Serena Williams, B.B. King, and Gloria and Emilio Estefan. 

In his spare time, Smaltz is a member of The Friars Club and volunteers for numerous organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
